In knitting news, I made the book sweater on www.oknitting.com in a beautiful blue simply soft. I also have started the Isabeau ( www.chezplum.com ) handbag in lilac simply soft. I made the purse (the tiny one) in sugar n cream in a spring color ombre (i dont remember the actual color name but it had yellow, green, blue and white). Clapotis is still going but slowly. And I am on letter D still on my ABC blanket for the boys.
I hope this finds you all well and I will update again very soon. link | posted by KnittyMomma at 7:42 AM

My seaming needs serious work that's why the tops look all pointy. These slippers are comfortable though and a slight bit motivating. Makes me knit a little faster when I look down and see a finished project.
I have learned Knitting ADD doesn't work for me. I have to work on one project at a time or I get overwhelmed. Now that these are done I'm finishing the panta and then Clapotis. The panta I am in the middle of section 4. I hope to be done with it by Tuesday. I hope everyone is doing good.
In non-knitting news my birthday is in 1 month and 22 days and party planning has begun. I'm not exactly sure what we're going to do but I know I want to go out. Any ideas?

I have been so out of it lately. I try to knit and I get messed up on the simplest patterns. Tonight I'm going to have to frog and re-start BOTH the panta and the Elizabethtown hat because I messed up royally on them. (you'd think k2, p2 would be simple). I thought I had messed up on Clapotis but luckily all is well with it. If I had had to frog that I would not be a happy camper.
I'm starting to branch out a lot with my knitting. I used to call myself just a beginner because it was safe but now I've realize things I was once scared of just aren't that bad. Cables for instance. If I actually sit down and read the directions they aren't hard at all! Colorwork however is a whole other story. I can not figure it out. No Fair Isle, No Intarsia. Unless it's stripes where I cut the yarn and tie the new one on...I'm lost. I have tons of knitting books that explain it (Stitch N Bitch..both, Knitting School, all kinds) but have I sat down and tried to read them? Nope. I should though. I'm babbling again. I hope you guys are doing good. Until tomorrow. Tata.

I tried to finish my last post but for some reason it wasn't letting me add anymore pics.
This is the start of the Elizabethtown Pithy hat. I was originally drawn to do it in Black but since I was afraid I would need it for the Clapotis I started looking through my stash. I have about 4 balls of this Berry Blue in my stash and so I decided to use it as it's a nice soothing color. Then as I was sitting on my floor knitting I noticed something....
It matches my toenails. I need to touch them up but I thought it was really neat and kinda goofy hehe.

This is the beginning of a Panta (pattern from www.craftster.org). The yarn is Red Heart acrylic in colorway Monet. This ball of yarn was probably the 2nd or 3rd yarn I ever purchased. I originally bought it for a tote type bag but decided against it. Now it's been sitting in my stash eyeing me until I realized that the project I would use this yarn for needed to be displayed proudly. So it's becoming a panta that everyone can ooo and ahhh over.

Hey all! Well I've been promising pictures for a while now and tonight I finally got to upload them! So here they are in all their glory:
these are my current works in progress. The black is Clapotis, the green is the first of the pocketbook slippers, the blue is the Elizabethtown hat, and then multi-colored yarn is a panta.

Here is my Clapotis so far. This is on the second round of straight rows. I get so bored with it but then I come to a drop stitch and it's a rush just watching it tumble down. Hehe
This is #1 of a pair of pocketbook slippers. I've never had to do ribbing and so 6 inches of 2x2 ribbing is a little boring to me but I refuse to give up.

The only bad thing I see about having the local channels turned on is that I CAN'T STOP WATCHING! This could proove productive in my knitting though. What does everyone like to watch on TV. I need some new shows.
I am still semi-working on Clapotis (another good thing about the TV...I will be KNITTING without searching for something else I want to knit RIGHT NOW! so I can actually finish something (imagine that!) ) . I am supposed to be knitting slippers but have yet to finish one slipper (almost!). I do plan on finishing it and starting the other tonight while watching AI.
I'm trying to also learn to knit cables to I can make my mom a coin purse or eye glass holder with beautiful cables. It's not going so well.
Well I believe that's all for me today. I shall update more tomorrow! Until then,
